Brady goes for 3 players on the pats.

Gronk, Hernandez, and Welker

Brees goes to 5

Graham, Colston, Sporles, Thomas, Moore.

No it wouldn't. It would be like you starting a thread on the MSB saying you think Aldon Smith could end up being the best pass rusher ever. See the OP.

When a guy has more sacks in his rookie year than anyone in history that would not be an outrageous idea to forward. Sure just a start but no one has ever started better. Likewise Graham didn't just have a fantastic sophmore year. He had arguably the best year by a TE ever. He knows not to drink n drive too.

It would help if Graham and Sproles didn't always have to chip block pass rushers bc Payton doesn't trust Strief and Bushrod.

IMO that is the only reason Gronk had better numbers than Graham. New England has better offensive tackles that don't need chip help.

That is kind of what I was getting at. If he puts together a string of seasons like this one then it is definitely in the realm of a possibility.

Quite the opposite broseph, the Patriots offense lives off of chip blocks just as the Saints do

I'd take Graham over Gronk 10 out 10 times.

Gronk is good, no doubt but just b/c he had a few more yards and tds doesn't make him "better".

Brady basically threw to Welker and Gronk all year whereas Drew throws to everyone on the team. The fact Graham put up the numbers he did as much as the ball is spread around in this offense really says something

Gronk actually blocks?

Pretty soon, the bigger TEs that never stay in to block are going to have their own position name. I'm not ragging on Jimmy Graham, he's a gigantic WR, not unlike Antonio Gates or Jermicheal Finley.

Whats up homer?

The fact he's among the best blockers in the league, and tops among TEs as rated by Pro Football Focus?

Aaron Hernandez came within 90 yards of being a 1000 yard receiver too, which means there were three WRs with AT LEAST 900 yards. That seems like he was spreading it out, its just insanely stupid to not go after obvious mismatches on the field.

Oh, and for the record, Jimmy Graham had more targets than Gronk, about 25 more to be exact.

Jimmy isn't the blocker Gonk is, but he's no slouch at it either. He's knocks people on their arse on the reg.

Let me get this one hundred percent straight. We are quite possibly looking at two of the greatest TEs the game will ever see, assuming no injuries. Any arguments that I can make can, and will be countered at some point.

It was pretty telling to me that when the Saints wanted to run, they would change their package to get someone else on the field to block, and either pull Jimmy out, or bump him down.

Fwiw, there's a thread on the MSB Board right now that has me bashing some of the Pats moves/policies

Plus I wouldn't take Gronk 10 times outta 10. Jimmy could all of a sudden have everything he's ever learned in football just click, and is a supreme athlete. If you split him out, he'd be better than Gronk too.

It's only been about 3 years worth...which is scary.

I'd counter your blocking argument with the fact that Graham seems to be exponentially less the meathead that fistpumping sasquatch is.

I do think Gronkowski could be top 5 ever at the position.

I've been dying to find that sound bite where Ryan Russilo said he was the biggest meat head he's ever seen and Gronk says "thanks".

As long as he has football intelligence and he's not shooting dogs or some other stupid stupid publicity stuff, he can be as dumb as a rock for all I care.

Our coach is an evil supergenius, our QB has become the definition of a west coast metrosexual, our star TE bangs pornstars and fist pumps, are budding star LB AND star DT have both poked people in the eyes before and half our roster has been involved in some sort of marijuana situation.

Its sad that I'm completely fine with all that.
