a baseball team who can only spend around 30 million and have to find a way to replace those 3 all star guys with people who aren't superstars because of high costs and they can only afford so much so they get guy from superbad and his statistical info comes in handy when trying to find non superstars to win baseball games by getting on base %.
By having Amare and Carmelo back (big superstars who always need the ball) ruins the chemistry of the team. ONCE AGAIN I KNOW IT"S ONLY ONE GAME SLAPDICKS.

Holy shite, even if you've only seen the movie, and never read the book (which I'm guessing), then you are way off.
there is alot more to it than this

bro, what in the hell does this have to do with Moneyball though?
You've laid out the plot of the movie, but...?
It's not like Billy wouldn't have taken Giambi back if he already had him because it would ruin chemistry. So if that's not what we're talking about, then this whole comparison is wonky

Melo has 11 FGA and 6 assists. He tried to play within the system today. He's also been out for awhile. It may take him a bit to not turn the ball over, etc. But to say Melo ruined the chemistry tonight simply because they lost is silly. Lin took 75% more shots than Melo tonight.
They just lost. Lin didn't shoot well. Melo was off a bit. Amare is old. And the Knicks couldn't knock down 3s. It happens. None of this has to do with Melo and chemistry.

Yeah - those two things do not equate.
