I think AL might turn out to be an All Pro level QB eventually but he won't be able to do near what Manning got out of them IMO (at least not in his first 3 years)

People are overstating this "Luck ran the offense by himself" notion. I heard his coach specifically say the extent of Luck "calling his own plays" was him having an option to call 3 different plays at the line of scrimmage.
My QB in high school had the same freedom at the line of scrimmage. Calling audibles at the line of scrimmage isn't earth shattering for a QB, even on the high school level

Cam Newton was 13th in the league in pass attempts.
QB's with more pass attempts than Newton? Stafford, Brees, Brady, Manning, Rivers, Fitzpatrick, Ryan, Freeman, Sanchez, Flacco, Romo, and Hasselbeck.
Considering the list above, I don't see any correlation really between "throwing the ball more" and "losing".
If you're behind by say 2 points or 5 points with (for example) 12 minutes left in the game, does that mean you are going to "pass more"?

People are taking a solid contextual concept and perverting it to fit their own agenda and narrative.
Even if you take into consideration that Carolina was a bad team, Newton's numbers are phenomenal. The anti-Newton crowd and their agenda (honestly, some of it is more sinister than they will publicly admit) is a great example of people who know enough to look foolish.
