Just looked at 24/7's Louisiana top 20 for 2013 and Bama is listed on about half of them. Not sure if their list of offers is accurate, but they are showing Bama as offering 7 players (including the one that has already committed) from the state already.

It's all over! We should just give up! Another school offered Louisiana recruits! We suck! Oh please, Almighty Lord Saban leave us some scraps. We're not worthy! We're not worthy!

Well he built the fence so it is only right for him to tear it down.

I hate Saban. He needs to choke on a turkey leg.

Did you follow recruiting this year?

The fence is already down.

I suggested a few weeks back that we plant a steak in Alabama. It was pooh pooh'd, mostly.

We should invest in recruiting Alabama. That doesn't meant we give up traditional states, but send a message to Nick that we're serious.

Saban knows who his biggest threats are, and LSU is at the top of his lists. This is all calculated.

And to do nothing is assuming a submissive position, imv.

I think with the offensive guys it is going to depend greatly on Miles Philosophy this coming year. A star reciever will not come to LSU if we continue with the JJ philosophy for passing numbers. But if Mett is the real deal and Miles lets him throw the ball we will be good!

Because once you get an offer you have to commit (/sarcasm)...You do realize elite prospects get offers from everyone don't you?

I'm not a "negatiger", and i think the recruiting class that we have coming in is good....regardless of what the various scouting services rankings are......but with that being said, Miles really needs to get the fence back in order next year.

Saban is a prick; everyone knows it (the incident w/ stepping over the convulsing Dolphin player; pulling back schollies at the last minute, etc.) -- but he wins games, and national championships. Until people start calling him on his BS, and continue to do so, why the hell should he stop? It's working for him. Louisiana high school coaches need to grow some nads and tell their kids the truth rather than suck up to him for their brief moment of glory. To me, that's what this is about. Saban is an egomaniac but knows how to stroke high school coaches' egos to get in with their players. Miles et al need to stop being so "nice" and start telling recruits like it is.

Two things:

1.) I fully expect Saban to recruit La. hard and competitive.

2.) I think too many offers out to La kids can backfire on him. Bama is the king in Alabama, start offering 4-6 guys from La, 2-3 from Fl, and 3 or 4 from points elsewhere. He will open the door for inroads to the historic Bama strongholds by the likes of Chizik.
