I already did.

Film breakdown, game planning, QB and OL coaching on the field.
I hope you guys enjoy complaining about Ensminger because he will be here for a while.

I really don't know.

Are you trying to insinuate I'm some sort of Ensminger enthusiast? Because I'm not really.

I would rather us replace him.

thats a mistake then

as talented as alabama's staff is at recruiting, they recently brought back lance thompson, a guy who's as talented as anyone.

we cant afford to have a recruiting liability like ensminger

That's your opinion based on what you see as a fan. There's more to it than that.

What changes on this staff were made this year from the last few years when we had elite class that made our coaches recruiting liabilities?

I think ensminger recruits northwest Louisiana & dallas area, neither of which have ever been hot beds for LSU. Evangel kids aren't locks to LSU like most west monroe kids nor do they always pan out in college. Shreveport is kind of hit or miss for football talent yearly IMO and we have never been very strong in dallas area. That said, i wonder how good a recruiter he really is, regardless of where his area is. I imagine he does bring alot to the table as a coach, been around major college football a while and has seen alot and would probably be a good resource. I think our tight ends have been good under him. Stud couldn't pull devall from bastrop & i think haley is now going to recruit north east LA instead of stud. When ensminger got hired it was down to him and a younger coach in houston area who was a recruiter....we went with ensminger.

He also is a better recruiter than people give him credit for according to Ponamsky.
Ponamsky said this and as evidence used Torshiro who he just lost after a year, and David Jenkins, who's orig. from Jena, LA.

How the frick is it a TE coach can't pull more weight than that in recruiting? This is one of the positions where recruiting abilities is usually a priority

Ponamsky constantly makes excuses, it gets annoying. He hasn't pulled one fricking recruit in his time here, yet he's better than we give him credit for ? Shut up Derek ...DP has also been a JJ opponent, he's a coaching staff mouthpiece
this is my one complaint ab DP, he's an apologist and almost incapable of giving it straight when it reflects negatively on LSU

He also helped in recruiting Liggins and has been the number 2 guy on a number of recruits. He isn't an elite recruiter but he also isn't the liability people make him out to be.

proof is in the results. He has none as a recruiter

Last yr the majority were S. LA kids w/ a ton of connections w/ LSU's one really good recruiter. Momma and Haley helped reel in Rasco

Josh Henson was a good TE coach on the field and an outstanding recruiter, you act as if we can't have both. Strudawa and Ensminger shouldn't get passes for doing jack shite on the recruiting trail because of their great film skills.

Steve can watch film and give les his thoughts from a cush admin job

I'm not saying this staff can't do any better recruiting. But Ensminger does have some value and he isn't going anywhere, so the 10 threads today saying he sucks and needs to be replaced is pointless. Especially since those threads were based off of Davis playing the coaching staff.

maybe a better recruiter doesn't get played bc they do a better job, um recruiting?
