Is it true that the band is going to do Rex this year? I thought they would only do it if we the national championship. I know they did it the past two times we won.

They've done parades in other years where a national title wasn't won.

I wonder how much they cost? I tried to get a band for our Krewe and they gave me the "We don't really want to do it price?"

the LSU band isn't going ANYWHERE unless you make it worth their while to perform. You'd probably have to give them cost of feeding the band, cost of travel, and upwards of $15,000 as payment.

i really don't foresee anything making it worth their while.

I marched Rex in 03 and 07. Didn't have to since it was my last year and they couldn't do anything but I felt like owed them.

I never do anything on Mardi Gras day anyway. That's the day to kick back and relax after going hard in the paint Fri-Mon

Never got the groom's name, some big shot though for sure

We waited outside St Louis and surprised the bride. Then led the wedding party march through the Quarter to the reception and got a free catered dinner.

It was only bout 50 of us
