Having said that, it's pretty clear that he's going to get a shot at QB initially. I was very surprised to see how good of an athlete he is watching his video. Losing weight would be a good thing for him as a QB, but people saying that he's not mobile enough to be QB as is don't know what they are talking about.

It would be one thing if it was a transition from TE to DE but QB to DE is a big difference.

Has anyone on here every consider what a red-shirt year and weigh training could do for this kid. If, and i don't know if he's coming to LSU, but if he is, you can bet that he will be an alot better shape before he gets a chance to see the field.

To make it clear on Liggins comments, he meant that he didn't get offered a full scholly his visit, a full was not offered until the last 2 or 3 days. He thought it was because Kiel left. We know that was 3 weeks ago. On running, he said on any given play, out of the shot-gun, if he couldn't pass to an open read, then, he could take off and run as a big QB in the tradition of LSU's big backs. I guess he thinks they're good backs and he would like to run like them if he had to.

No, it's 96.3 in North Ms., I think it's Oxford actually. They just finished talking about another Ole Miss QB that quit today and transfered to Iowa and Peyton Mannings possible retirement due to his neck not healing. I'll report the 6:30 announcement as soon as I hear it about 6:30.

It's pretty well known by recruiting analysts and scouts that LA is underrated and underevaluated. It ranges differently from site to site with different players on different sites.
Some examples this year
Travin Dural-finally moved to 4* on Rivals and 247 and got a bump recently on Scout but prior to that was rated as the #98 wr in the country by Scout. Okay
John Thomas-very highly rated by Scout and 247 but yet Rivals never had him above a 3*.
Jerald Hawkins-finally got rated correctly by 247 and Rivals jumped him a little as well but on Scout is very low. His ceiling alone warrants a high 3* but he should be a 4 across the board
Deion Jones- finally got some due late in the year but was a low 3 on scout and 247 before and Rivals had him as a 2* until December then he finally jumped to a 5.7 3*
Derrick Raymond- Scout was the 1st to recognize the talent and skill and bumped him to a 4* top 300 player mid season. 247 caught on post season and bumped to a 4* and at one time a Top 247 player before the last rankings fell. Rivals had him and still have him as a 5.5 3* which is the lowest 3* possible. Okay
There are countless other kids from the state that can play at the high Div 1 level that just haven't been properly evaluated. It's a pretty common thing for LA.
If you notice Scout and 247 are the ones that corrected their rankings on most of these kids. The reason is because of Mike Coppage,Steve Robertson and Sonny Shipp on Scout and Barton Simmons on 247. Proper evaluations by people that care about analyzing LA kids and getting them their just due. Rivals has no dedicated LA scout. Brian Perroni is a Texas based scout and rarely ventures over to the 2nd class citizens of LA.
