With Andrei Arshavin's newfound inability to play soccer, what is the most extreme non-health related drop in performance that you've ever seen?

I'm going with Adriano

Andy Carroll had a good half season

Fernando Torres has looked good enough recently to rule himself out of this thread, imo

Adriano's is related to booze and drugs though.

I'd also say Shevchenko since he wasn't injured before his Chelsea arrival, and he seems to be an entirely normal guy. He just fit in horribly to the English game.

Yeah, he is certainly very troubled. If you'd file that under health, I guess that I violated my own rules.

Though, to me, he will always be that guy who throat-punched another guy <3

It's pretty hard to go against Torres to be honest. Arshavin's has been huge, but Torres has fallen from arguably one of the top 5 players in the world to where he is now.

Ronaldinho maybe? Just because he was so high up that to come back to earth was still a large fall?

Ronaldinho went from otherwordly to expendable

Probably the only Barcelona player to receive a standing ovation at the Bernabaeu as a Barcelona player

What is the explanation for the Torres's drop in quality? At least with Sheva, you could kind of chalk it up to old age.

Injury. He's pretty alright nowadays

I treat Sheva like I would Veron or Deco. Came to England and they were shite (Veron probably does not fit), but undeniably awesome otherwise

If Steven Gerrard can make Andy Carroll look serviceable, imagine what he did for Nando.
