Was animation the only critique? Each episode covers a new patient and disorder.
My main complaint is the animation, but I'm also not into the shows that are extremely "Japanese," if that makes sense.

Kemonozume has a somewhat similar art style, at times, and I can handle it because of the story.

I do understand, but outside of being set in Japan, there is really nothing Japanese about it. It covers psychological disorders and mental disorders that plague every country across the world.

Now, I do know that it's not for everyone and I'm not trying to make you feel bad or anything. That said, all of the awards the show has won are very deserved and I do recommend you revisit it later to see if you can handle it.

Does it? I know Trapeze uses a weird combination of animation, rotoscoping, and real imagery and video.
