As a 42 yo woman with 3 children (19, 14 10) this truly makes me sad. My children aren't as young as hers are but the thought of dying this young scares the hell out of me.

Wow...she used to live in Boston, and If memory serves, I randomly watched the CWS vs Stanford in 2000 with her and a buddy of mine from the alumni chapter up there. She was really great...this is depressing news.

That is just awful. Prayers sent for her entire family and all their friends. Those little boys will need lots of help growing up without their mom.
Only 44. Cancer is the honey badger of diseases - it don't care. It takes who it wants. Hopefully we'll find the cures for all forms of cancer soon.
