I agree with this.
The more IPA's I try, the more I like the well balanced ones. Bell's Two Hearted Ale, Dogfish Head 90 Minute and Racer 5 are good examples. This one leaves such a bitterness on the palate that I actually get a little turned off by it.
TBD - Anchor Christmas Ale. Clearing some of these out. Still going to age a couple until next year, but I had 6 in my fridge taking up valuable space.

I agree that it's not as well balanced, but it tastes and feels more like a west coast IPA. The hops just come through and kick you in the mouth. After all of the malty beers I've had lately it's a welcome change
