At apex tiger: Bull shite. I live in Houston , travel all over the US and call on a shitload of LSU alumni. Almost all wanted to play Bama. The people who didn't want to play Bama are the "wanna be" LSU fans who buy 1 ticket to a game or watch on TV. They go to academy and buy a hat but don't spend a goddamn dime on tuition or help out the athletic association.
let me ask you a serious question:
Why do you think these LSU fans wanted to play Alabama again after beating Alabama already and having to play an additional game than the Tide?
Second question is this: Why did you inject money into this equation as a reason why some LSU fans would or would not want to play Alabama again...I fail to understand your reasoning other than just wanting to be boastful.
Which makes no sense to me...I don't' care if you donated a million dollars to LSU, it has no significance in wanting to give (play) Alabama a second attempt to beat LSU

LSU lost because they played scared. They knew they were nothing but fortunate to win the 1st game. Bama beat themselves and Homer LSU fans convinced themselves other wise. Bama won every statistical category and broke even in turnover margin.
Thats why most Bama fans laughed at all the false bravado that was spewed on this site. Tiger fans deep down knew what was about to happen, but some convinced themselves other wise.
Bama was the more talented, experienced team.
11/5 was an upset
1/9 was a beat down.

It just seems like "wanting" to play a team vs feeling like a team lost 21-0 because they had already played someone is a really huge leap. You've accused people of not being competitive athletes who don't understand your point, which, for those of us who have been, told you that this wasn't right. You've said no LSU fans wanted to play Alabama, which, here and elsewhere, is wrong. You've made all sorts of arguments that aren't based in facts to prove your point, and then made it an argument about unfairness.
I just think that anyone who appreciates football, rather than someone who wants a notch on the bedpost, would feel like they needed to play the best team to win. It's not like you won't get the chance again. LSU is an amazing team, and it's the way of college sports. You play the hand you were dealt, and you don't complain about whether it was fair.

Beating Okie State would have been very good, but like Oregon, WVU, Arkansas, etc., not as impressive as knocking off the consensus no. 2 team in the country.
Twice.
