Isn't Miles supposed to be an Offense Specialist?

Seriously.
Every head coach has an area of expertise eg Saban and Muschamp on defense.
He coached TEs for the Cowboys yet we never used Peterson. He is a former OL but has never attracted the best in the country.
Is Miles just a "nice guy" who can recruit for a school that recruits itself?
Monday night showed serious flaws in game preparation and inept game adjustments. When I read his comment about 9 days before the game that the team was starting bowl prep for AL, I thought something was messed up. WTF were they doing the prior 4 weeks?

the only thing offensive about miles run offense is that it is offensive

What does that have to do with the last 4 years?

One great offense in 7 years?
You mean the team with a QB who Saban recruited and Jimbo taught?
Let's talk 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2011 and the passing game. We even hired a passing game coordinator for 2 years.
How about as recent as Monday night?

We are so great at recruiting OL that our most recent catch from FL got shown the door when he showed up on campus.
What Top 10 out of state OL has Miles signed?

You seriously think he doesn't get OL. Recruits here?

He definitely never said this. He might have waited that long to install the game plan at practice but bowl prep was going on way before that. Most coaches use the same timeline.

Matt Flynn never even stepped on the field under Saban. Flynns success had nothing to do with Saban. don't be stupid

i don't have to time to explain football to you. it doesn't matter. you're going to hate Miles no matter what. im pretty sure you'd still hate him even if we had won Monday....you just wouldn't be posting as much.

You don't need to spell anything out because you have no credibility. You are a joke of a poster who has no objectivity whatsoever when it comes to Miles. You can blame Ryan Perrilloux all you want, but at the end of the day that's just a tired excuse for something that should not have taken 4 years and counting to resolve.

WTF? Why narrow it down so much. Only top 10 out of state OL become great? So then your argument is Les takes mediocre recruits and turns them into good to great college linemen? Sounds like a good OL coach then.

I have been saying this for a long time. For someone that was an oc and o-line coach, He sure did fail at it the last four years.
His only area of expertise is recruiting, hopefully he can keep that up. Thank goodness he has Chavis.

meh...im pretty objective...i just don't like miserable drama queens that can't see the big picture and have no clue about football. feel free to show me one post i've made since Monday about the football team thats SOOOOOOO unreasonable.

i didn't say anything about RP. he recruited 4 QBs not named RP. Hatch left and Crowton ruined the other 2 (See Marylands QB this compared to last year)
its a fact Miles' offense are pretty damn good when he has a QB he trust. you cant deny that.
and in case you forgot...we did just go 13-0 in the SEC and won another conference championship.

Miles was an offensive line coach but I do not know of anyone who believes he excels at x's and o's. His strengths lie in being and excellent program manager and recruiter he is a ceo style head coach
