Horsecrap, LSU has won in spite of Les' coaching, not because of it. Depth of talent and a few good coordinators overcomes a lot of stupidity. Les WASTED due to stupidity or purposely blew that game. No excuses for that.

It is amazing to me how many people want to treat Miles like a God. Justifying his every decision, no matter how stupid it may have been.
I am not even saying he is a bad coach, but he is an employee, a human... who answers to an employer.
Some do not want to hold him accountable for anything.
It's no wonder cults exists.]

Harvey Updyke considers himself the ultimate fan, like so many fans here on the rant. Miles is a deity. When you do that, and refuse to question any decisions made by the coach, you end up with Penn State.

Leave uncommon alone. Defending all the meek is what he does. He is a miserable frick. You would be hard pressed to find a comment of his where he isn't calling someone an idiot. He considers anyone that doesn't think exactly like him an idiot.

He's a coach with an elite record for success. He's also a coach who took over a thriving program and 8 years later that program is thriving even more than it was when he took it over.
The main objective for a coach/meausuring stick is to win and LSU has won for the past 7 years more games than any other school in the SEC or in the BCS. We didn't achieve that type of elite success for that period of time just cause we are "lucky" or cause we have a good base of HS players in the area or cause we were successful before...that's just BS.
Miles/the staff make mistakes and I question his not giving JL a series or 2 late in the 3rd or in the 4th, but that doesn't mean I'm gonna come here and cry/stomp my feet, demand to be told why this wasn't tried or why that wasn't tried, and suggest that I know what needs be done so that we don't lose another BCSCG. Not saying you have, but you know what I mean.
I will leave that for others...I'll just accept the fact we got stuffed by Bama and console myself with the fact LSU played in their 2nd BCS title game in 5 years, won their 2nd SEC title in 5 years by going undefeated in the SEC for the 1st time since 61, and spend the off season as a fan happy to have his team considered as one of the Top 5 programs in the nation....others can do as they wish.

so i guess you're saying that you can't improve at your job as you get older and new things keep rising that you may not have been prepared for. you do realize that john wooden didn't when his 10 national championships until he was almost 60. that's why the chief in a indian tribe is the old guy d a. he gains more experience over years

This team has a solid core of Juniors and Sophs. That loss should leave them pretty motivated for 2012.

So demint53,how many championships would we have won with a better coach? Seems like ex-LSU players coming out of the wood work to bitch about Miles after a 13-1 season. Miles did beat 3 out of the top 5 teams in the final BCS polls! Not bad.
