How can almost everyone in the Tiger Nation see...for years.... that Jefferson was like a deer in the head lights????

You can almost agree with Les about "fair".
At some point it became "fair" to leave JJ in and let him own this stinker 100% rather than have JL go in as the reliever and take the loss.
