Our offense was dull, we just didn't face good run defenses all year long so we wore em down. Our offense was very dull. Next year we will be traditional pro style

Why in the world does anyone care about style points?!?! If dull is winning 13 games, the SEC and being 12th in scoring offense I'll take dull everyday of the week and twice on Sunday.

well when we face a good defense, we'll need to be creative to do something (if we hope for plays on offense)

The difference Monday night wast least partially because Bama had a better offensive attack and it showed some versatility.

Second, winning 13 games with a DULL offense is not justification for the scheme. If we didn't have weapons and NEEDED to rely solely on D and ST because we don't have skill that's one thing but that was not the case.

hybrid offense that specializes in capturing momentum from the defense/special teams in order to operate. lacking this momentum, crossing the 50 yard line becomes nearly impossible.

A multiple system featuring a power running attack with spread option packages mixed in.

While I understand what you are saying, I disagree with you. Not a 100% though.

The OP asked what kind of offense are we? The other poster said "dull". By in large the "O" is/was a power running team. Thats how Les built this team and thats not going to change and time soon. Its not in his mind set and we don't have the personnel to run it. If thats dull, then who cares. It worked for 13 games.

Now, can you add wrinkles to that "dull" offense. But thats not a major philosophy change. Thats what you do when you face a great D like the gumps have. We didn't see that.

We also didn't see them execute very well on offense. I had an old coach me to tell the opponent where the play was going to go and dare them to stop it. Not saying you tell Saban where the play is going, but you have to whip the guy in front of you.

Our "Dull" offense still worked against very good defenses.. Just because Alabama stopped it doesn't mean it doesn't work.

You realize Alabamas defense was probably the best defense in the last couple of decades right? At least statistically

Who on our schedule would you say had very good defense?

Alabama
Georgia

Who else?

With the athletes that we recruit, we should be unstoppable on offense. Instead, we under utilize our talent running a goal line offense the entire game.

Yes, I know what our record was. Yes, I know scoring offense stats, etc....

Point is, we should be much better than we are offensively.
