LSU's offense did not avg close to 40 points a game as many media members and ranters have been posting.
LSU's offense averaged 31.1 ppg still respectable but you cannot include safeties and int returns and punt returns as offensive production.
If you take out scores LSU's offense made from less than 26 yards from the endzone setup by a fumble or a INT by the defense LSU averaged just 27.4 points per game. LSU scored 21 points by starting drives inside the opponents 10 yard line.
With JJ at center LSU's offense averaged 21.3 points a game.
With Lee at center LSU's offense averaged 31.9
Both taking away D and ST scores and drives starting inside the opponents 26 yard line. Which was chosen due to being within Allemans range to start a drive.
I assume you'll do this same groundbreaking analysis for Bama's offense next
Newsflash, all three phases count.
