I realize there has and always will be a contingent of LSU fans that believe Lee can and routinely does walk on water, but the fact that this coaching staff apparently DOES NOT does not make it a character issue.

You are missing what most are referring to. I am not saying Lee was better than JJ. I am saying Miles refused to play Lee even in the most obvious cases where he should have, such as in the 2nd half of the UGA game and the second half of the BCSNCG. Can you not comprehend the difference between that expectation and what you are stating in "exaggerative" fashion?

And you are missing the fricking point. Miles gets PAID to coach football. You get paid to do whatever you do. If Miles didnt play Lee it is obvious he thought that Lee would have been worse the JJ. If you want to bitch about the gameplan, fine, but stop with this "Not playing Lee is bad character" horse shite.

Obvious to those who were screaming for Lee all along. While I'd have been perfectly happy to have him insert Lee for no other reason in the BCSNCG than it might have meant they'd have actually called a forward pass, to say it was "obvious" that he should have played him is silly. It's obvious some wanted to, but there was nothing obvious that a change was warranted or would have been effective.

Regardless of how you want to couch it, that's simply NOT a character issue...it's a coaching decision issue until we would hear it was something else entirely. To call it a character issue all but suggests it was a personal decision based on something other than football...and unless you have some evidence for that, it just comes off like an upset parent.

How many big-time college football teams routinely bench starting QBs during a bad stretch of play? You guys are acting like its a common occurrence. In fact, the most common occurrence is to pick a starter and stay with him. The idea is to let that player go through the ups and downs.

Now, if you want to dispute who should be the starter, then have at it. I tend to agree with those who think Lee may have been better.

But I fail to see how a head football coach displays poor CHARACTER by playing his chosen starter.

And then, for every butthurt fan that wants to have a reason spelled out to them to claim that keeping quiet is a character issue?! Ya'll are freakin outa your mind! I would love to know, sure. But what if he comes out and says something degrading to Lee-- publicly. Obviously whatever it is cannot be a complement to Lee.

Shitty character would be to publicly criticize a college kid so some butthurt middle-aged fat guys like me can feel better!
