How's this 2012 Starting Lineup look?

This is worst case scenario assuming Sam Montgomery and Michael Brockers leave. All reports indicate Randle is 99% going and we know Claiborne is a top 10 pick.

Brockers will be back. I personally think Sam will be too.

Holy cow we are going to be loaded next year. Our running game will be unstoppable with the 4 Horsemen back running behind Copeland and that veteran offensive line. And also Clement back at tight end.
And on defense? Just wow.

Yes, good call. I put that together quickly. What do you think?

I think La'el starts. Wouldn't surprise me to see Landon Collins start over Loston. Assuming we get Landon that is.

Collins to start at LG even if Dworacyzk comes back. He's been passed up

Locked and loaded for years to come. We are in the golden age of LSU football. Let's enjoy this ride. Thanks to Les Miles and his staff.

Not much depth on your depth chart. Need to include guys like Randall, Rasco, Lael, etc. to show the depth. That's more of a starting line-up with depth at a few positions.
Posted on 12/31/11 at 4:16 pm to BlackHelicopterPilot
Rascoe is going to push for PT. It will be fun to see how the WR rotation works also.

Rascoe is ahead of Allen he actually played in meaningful parts of games.
I like Allen's size. I remember seeing him playing and pulling up the depth chart to see who that monster was.

I really hope Ware isn't just grandfathered into that starting role for the rest of his career. He needs to drop some weight and look where he is going instead of just trying to run over a linebacker for a gain of zero. Otherwise, he needs to go to the back of the line. No matter how much he improves, I don't think he can keep Hilliard for being the best RB.
At WR, if Randle leaves, I think Landry will emerge as the other real WR beside Beckham. Shep has his role and should get more jet sweep carries but he is still very questionable at WR. Boone and Wright seem OK but nothing special.
I hope Collins wins the OG spot but I'm sure even if he does, Les and Stud will give Josh D. the T Bob role where he rotates in for 70% of the game at the 3 interior spots despite getting blown back on every play.
A DE rotation with Mingo, Lavar and Rasco is still pretty damn strong. Edwards is also good at DT on passing downs.
It will be interesting to see who replaces Mo at corner when Mathieu slides down to nickel. And also, who takes Ron Brooks' role in the mustang. I guess maybe David Jenkins at CB and Micah Eugene at the dime back.
We return so much AND we lose T Bob, Hatcher and JJ and Miles' undying loyalty to them despite how bad they play. That can't be undervalued.

Is Ronald Martin strictly a safety or is he athletic enough to play CB?

+1
In terms of true running back skills, Ware is easily the last of the four.

This is actually my biggest worry. Our secondary won't be as good as it was this season.

2012 could be the best LSU team ever unless Mettenberger just sucks somehow. But even then, I think Randall can come in and give us a nice 2-QB system if we need it.
I do love this 2011 team though.

i think he is a pretty badass athlete but i dont know if he plays any corner. But they played Derrick Bryant a lot at that Tyrann/Ron Brooks role with the 3 man d line so I'm sure he could pull it off too.

i'm not really worried as much as interested. Simon is going to be a monster. He could have 15 INTs this year if he didn't have so many drops.
Jenkins or whoever at CB I'm sure will be solid. Cooper had Simon and Mathieu playing well as true freshmen. Jenkins and Collins have a year under him already.

I agree that Ware is not even one of our best 2 RBs right now.
