I have always rotated/ balanced my tires and had a front end alignment every 10k miles. Bought new tires yesterday and this kid tells me rotate every 3k and alignment every other oil change. How many miles do you have the rotation and alignment done?

Oil change is good idea.

I do an alignment every 1,000 miles. Never can be too straight.

hell the alignments would cost more than the tires I would screw up

I rotate every other oil change, never really do an alignment unless its obviously needed by looking at the tire

You dont need to rotate and align every other oil change. That is horse shite. I change my oil about 5 or 6k and rotate about every 10. I align according to tire wear and how its driving.

align once a year....rotate every other oil change unless you see inside or outside wear on the tires running smooth...if they are choppy change suspension....

I rotate every oil change and usually have the allignment checked every other. Lifetime rotate and balance as well as alignment so it doesn't cost me a dime. Initially a little more but worth the extra cost in my opinion.

This is what I just did...cost 38 bucks extra. I follow the manufacturer's schedule of 5k for oil changes. Good deals at Tire Kingdom, but what bullshite.

I rarely do either and I USE my truck. I'm running Mickey Thompson ATZs, they have 65000 miles on them and they have been rotated once, never had an alignment. I will probably get 12-15000 more miles on them before they hit the Wear bars. My fiancé has the stock Michelans on her 4runner. They have 80,000 miles on them and have never been rotated or aligned. Her 4runner drives as good as the day she bought it and will probably get 10000+ more miles out of those tires.

This.
Ford only recommends I change the oil on my truck every 7,500 miles. Before I bought it, I would change the oil in my GMC about every 5k to 6k miles.

No way I'm taking time out to align every other week. I rotate every other oil change and align a couple times a year unless I notice a problem.
