Wow there were a good bit of misses on that list. I totally forgot about some of those guys.

Me, too. Out of those 10 Misses, I barely remember anything about Ernest McCoy.

But it looks like the 2006 Class had even more fail as there were only 3 Big Time contributors ('07 had 10) & 13 Misses.

Good stuff.

This is why coaches sign multiple guys at each position and it's the reason why you recruit to your needs.

Good breakdown. Those numbers look about normal to me - if you get about 50 percent of your class to contribute as some point, that's about par for the course, isn't it?

I remember hearing a lot about John Williams. Too bad he didn't pan out.

One interesting name listed as a three star offensive guard is Nick Fairley.

I understand that it is common for lineman to switch sides, (Offense/Defense) but it still intrigues me that a lowly touted OG can become an All American DT.
Pretty interesting to me.

yea, that's pretty good at a top flight program like LSU. the step up these hi school kids have to make added to the adjustment to college academically along with the "distractions" simply isn't made by some (no matter how good of an athlete they were in hi school).
