Swarovski if money is no option. Nikon if it is.

I have a old set of Swarovoskis that was given to me by a security guard. He used to patrol my apartment complex and would stop by mine for a beer once a night. Once he got word that my complex was canceling the contract with his company he brought me a case of beer and gave me those binos. Never did ask how or where he got them, don't really care.
Back on topic, My Swarovoski binos are the shite. Clear as could be and great for any activity. But honestly, a cheaper pair of Nikons or bushnell would probably suffice my needs.

I have the Swarovski. 10 x 32 EL and love them, the clarity is unbelievable and they are so light, would of cost a few hundred more to get the swrarovison and I could not justify it, just find it hard to believe things could get much better
By far the best piece of hunting equipment I have bought , if you can, get a pair and you will never regret it, if you can't save money till you can

quote:Yep. I have some Burris Signature Series 12x50 binos. Yeah, they're huge. I compared them to the best Nikons and Leupolds, a pair of Kahles, and some $850 pair that starts with an M, and walked out of the store with the Burris' with no regrets. I love them. I sat in the stand until 6:05 about a week ago watching a pretty good buck... Then my uncle showed me his Swarovski's. I can afford a pair now, but I'm about to buy a house so I'm going to use that money on stuff for the house. But, I'm going to start putting away for a pair before next season.

instead of brand I give you this:
If you care about maximum light gathering, the objective divided by the magnification should be 7 if you are a young man (or woman), 5 if older then 50. This will only occur at night when your eyes are fully night-adjusted. It matches the exit image size & light gathering is maximized when that size equals your dilated pupil.
That is why the classic binocular size was 7x50.
