I don't remember him being projected as a top 10 pick as a junior. He was AP and AFCA first team AA after 2006 - so, maybe I'm conflating his injury issue (I thought he got hurt late in 2006, as well as in 2007), or there were a number of DTs already in the draft.
I remember it being a question...maybe he always represented he was coming back, so it wasn't a big deal.
Maybe you're right man... memory is the second thing to go.

Dorsey was projected as an upper first round pick in the 2007 draft until he advised he was staying put. Still thankful he did, though with what happened to Ciron Black it's easily understood why some fellows are compelled to make the early jump.
