To the worriers on our impending victory, with apologies to FDR

Let me assert my firm belief that the only thing we have to fear is fear itself: nameless, unreasoning, unjustified terror.
Our confidence, then, comes from no failure of substance. We are stricken by no plague of locusts. We have much to be thankful for: a slew of formidable opponents turned victims, an SEC championship, a perfect 13-0 record, and a bevy of players so talented and colorful they will brighten our memories for a lifetime. The game offers its bounty and their efforts have multiplied it. Plenty is at our doorstep.
Practices of the unscrupulous eyeballers stand indicted in the court of public opinion, scorned by the hearts and minds of reasonable men.
True they will have tried, but their efforts are cast in the pattern of an outworn tradition. Faced by failure of effort they proposed only the lending of more credit. Stripped of the lure of invincibility by which to induce our people to follow their false leadership, they resorted to exhortations, pleading tearfully for restored confidence. They know only the rules of a generation of self-seekers. They have no vision, and when there is no vision their team shall perish.
Happiness lies not in the mere possession of false entitlement; it lies in the joy of achievement, in the thrill of creative effort. Restoration calls, but not for effort alone. This Nation asked for our victory, and for our victory again!

Indeed.
Once more into the breach, dear friends,
or close up the wall with our Tiger dead!
Not to be dramatic or anything.

Did we quit when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor?

"Sure, we want to go home. We want this war over with. The quickest way to get it over with is to go get the bastards who started it. The quicker they are whipped, the quicker we can go home. The shortest way home is through Tuscaloosa and New Orleans. And when we get to New Orleans, I am personally going to shoot that paper hanging son-of-a-bitch Saban. Just like I'd shoot a snake!"

Before the cameras Les says stuff like "we're honored to play that team again. blah blah blah."
What I gave is what he tells people at the mall and the soccer field.
