I tried to tell y'all this would happen when they tore down old Tulane Stadium. We could have 83k in attendance and if it looked like rain tickets wouldn't be a problem :).
Damn domes.

whatever the fair price should be it is obviously more than the face value they were originally sold for
Yes, they are bought up by ticket brokers who inflate prices because a certain aspect of society has the financial means or connections to purchase them. These ticket brokers are as crooked as it gets.
Are there not laws against scalping tickets?? This is legalized scalping. No one is saying it's a constitutional right to be able to buy tickets, but there is price regulation in our country on certain items and I feel sporting events should fall under this umbrella. There should be a fair market value established. When tickets to a SPORTING EVENT that last two hours are going for $2000 in the nosebleeds, there is something fundamentally wrong with that...sorry.

Ummmmm, no they can't...There are price gouging laws in most states in the country.

I will never pay over 150 for LSU tickets, ever.
Just so many better things to do with the money...
Student tickets going for 300 direct buy is absolutely insane...what student has 300 bucks lying around?

Only in times of emergency is that true. Any other time, they can charge any thing they want because people will just go some place else.

correct, but price gouging is crime associated with sharply raising prices during a civil emergency....If I chose to open a gas station where no other station exists, that is just good business and not price gouging....

You should probably know that giving 600 dollars a year vs omeone else giveing 100 dollars a year is no different .. the points are the same.
Save the 500 dollars.
Free advice, no charge.
Bojangles....you may want to read up on how TAF works again. You give a one time donation in January to "renew" your membership & you get points for that.
Then, any money you donate on top of that donation, you get points for that too.
Trust me, I've started a TAF chapter in my area. I know their process pretty well.

$100 gets you 3.10 points.
$600 gets you 3.60 points.

Just because you won't spend a certain amount on a ticket doesn't mean someone else won't. I got lower level student tux but I easily would have paid $1000 for this game, no way I'm missing it. I know not everyone agrees with that but I've been at to many games this season to miss this one. I pretty much use all my extra cash on away games and I think it's worth it.
If you don't think it is than stfu and watch the game at home. I'm sure plenty of people on here will spend tons of money hunting this year, I won't but I'm not mad at the people purchasing guns thus keeping the prices high

Dude, I've been to 91 straight games but I'm not spending $1500 on a ticket in the last row of the terrace.

If someone tried to charge you $10 for gas tomorrow it would be just as illegal as during a disaster like a hurricane. The difference is people think they can get away with it after disasters Southey try it more
