When will the Louisiana kids realize that it is just better to stay home if LSU wants you?

Hopefully, Landon Collins gets the message.

But AU is "all in" and they're a Fambly. Hope the iPhone was worth it. Robinson is a bum, no loss there. But I do feel bad for Reed. Lot of things going on with his mother passing, and I can remember being 17 years old and wanting to get away.

If you're from the boot, have an LSU offer, and go elsewhere, you're destined to suck.

We've had walk-ons with national championship rings. It isn't like LSU isn't in position to get one. His career, thus far, has been a disappointment. And now, Malzahn is leaving and Auburn is sinking into mediocrity.

Those Auburn coaches sold a bunch of hype and kids believed it. Maybe this will be a lesson for the future that we can capitalize on when it comes to in-state kids.

They wouldn't play even if they did come. So no, I don't want them.

robinson has 4 years to play. he would play eventually. la'el may not be a tackle and miller is the only for sure tackle in the last 2 years.

I've seen Robinson first hand and I do not feel he is a special type of player, serviceable yes.

Reed is a special type of talent in a bad situation. I saw him and HB7 go at it neck and neck in high school

Also talking about Thibodoux, Trey Grainer is nothing to write home about, not sure he was offered.

Coordinators come and go. It's the nature of the beast. I'm sure by now those guys are full blooded Auburn Tigers as they should be. Just as Sam Montgomery left his home state and is 100% LSU Tiger.

So it's great when LSU signs recruits from South Carolina, Texas or Florida, but when a LA. kid decides to go out of state, it is a bad decision?

I wish they would stay in state if the Tigers offer, but it works both ways!

I dont fault them for going. Neither would play for us rt now. Trovon would prob olay a lot next year, but we good on oline depth.

I thought that was obvious
South Carolina kids (are split between Clemson and SC) don't have a single flagship school (in football) of the stature of LSU.
Texas and Florida have too many schools and diverse population and there is too much divided loyalty.

No - that is why we are fans. For no logical reason other than geographic or being an alumnus we support a team and want it to succeed even if it is not the best.

If this were logical - each year we would shift bases to whichever team was doing well or merely appreciating the game being played well by anyone and not have emotional entanglements.

Here is who has left us recently

Luther Davis
Sentimore
Joe McKnight
Lacy
Trovon reed
Robinson
Janzen Jackson

There is more, but these are the important ones. Out of that whole list there is 2 people that will amount to anything and one of them (lacy), was a missed opportunity.

Not everyone is goIng to be a star. What about the LA kids that come here and don't amount to dick Ala Chris Toliver Or Jai Eugene. But highly rated stayed home and didn't make it.

On that list.
Kenny Bell - balling. Right team to get some love and making big plays
Joe McKnight - pro ball player. Can't hate on that
Eddie Lacy - rising star. the next mark Ingram / Trent Richardson. Perfect fit. He will be a beast for the next 2 years.
Jackson - was a first team all SEC player but had off field issues. Had great talent and never dropped off his game on the field. I do feel him staying home would have made Gina better player and person.
Reed/ Robinson - both have time. I don't think they are in perfect situations but with OBJ33 reed would have been deep on the roster plus. I am interested in what Landry will do next year. Robinson couldn't bust a grape In a fruit fight. Has a lot of development to do. Still has chances. There will be on a mediocre sec team for the next 2-3 years

Reed would be a kick returner for us but he is not as good as TM7 at it and would probably be behind Beckham also. Robinson didn't have a very good senior year IMO and looked bad in the all-star game. I wouldn't take him over any of the linemen we have committed right now.

I wouldn't say 16 catches for just over 200 yards is balling. He's going to be a big contributor next season once Maize is gone but Odell Beckham has already surpassed what he can do as a true freshman at LSU.

This guy will be their next big time back but his impact would have been along the same lines as Ford/Blue if he would've been at LSU. Hilliard looks to be our bell cow in the near future.

He was easily the most talented college player from LA that LSU missed out on. His ball skills are amazing but there is no telling if he still would have been a knucklehead had he signed with LSU.
