Those old defensive players would be interesting, but would get flagged for being too tough/mean....defenseless receivers: Jack Tatum, Mike Curtis....blows to the head, roughing the passer, etc.

Thats so true.
Old school guys would be suspended after every game they played
Nut shots, head slaps, helmet to helmet, etc.
Those old school guys were certainly not pussies.
