Instead of looking at the wins, take a look at the losses. In 1969 he was 9-1, but that one he gave to Ole Miss in a silver platter and I have already mentioned that in this thread twice. We should have been national champs that year...we even got left out of the bowls that year.
Anyway, thanks for your input. All I know is that all thru my LSU college years (1963-1969), it was very frustrating to witness the underachieving and to be left wondering what could have been.
