Plus all of the blocks by corporate sponsers (Sugar Bowl committee and Allstate) - they will go 80/20 to LSU fans (maybe even higher) and I don't think Stubhub is even tracking those.

100k man pom shaking freaks didn't intimidate the Tigers. Our home dome will be nice and comfortable for the LSU victory.

Hotels in the New Orleans area will snap up a lot of tickets, and then package them with rooms, extracting much dinero from your life's savings. A lot of these tickets may look like Louisiana purchases, but the tickets will eventually go to the fans that show up with the cash.

The biggest influx of tickets haven't even hit the market yet. Just wait till LSU fans and Bama fans get the school allotted tickets. Tickets will be all over these resell sites.

The student tickets for Bama have to be picked up at the dome with 2 valid forms of ID, so there is no way those will be able to be resold until the day of the game

Also 60-40 is more of an advantage than most people think. That's 15,000 more LSU fans than Bama fans

60-40 is best case scenario for the Gumps.

I've been closely following tickets on stub hub since Monday and there is about 300 more tickets today than there was yesterday and of the sections with and without tickets are still the same. I've been printing out the seating charts and list of tickets for sale and honestly it doesnt look like they're selling anything.

I think this story is bullshite just to create a buzz so people will start buying them at these ridiculous prices.

well, when you consider a lot of tickets never hit the open market

This and stubhub is only a small percentage of the resale market, other factors are more important than the stubhub percentage

Even at 60 40 LSU fans how is this not a neutral site

I'd say it was close to 60-40 @ the Ohio State game, and it was probably the loudest I've ever heard the dome.

ETA: Been to every Saints home game since 2006. The blocked punt in the opener against Atlanta, and the NFC Championship win were louder!

LSU/Ohio State 3rd loudest I've heard the dome.

I imagine Stubhub is just tracking their tickets didn't read the link.

Here is where LSU has a huge advantage probably around 90%.
Superdome corporate sponsor tickets. they get tickets to everything in the dome.
Sugar bowl sponsors
Suite owners will go heavily LSU.

They have deep pockets, but sometimes there is nothing in them. They have already bankrupted the largest county in bama, and the biggest bankruptcy in the US if I'm not mistaken. They will probably blame it on La somehow..

Exactly! I think 50/50 is a distinct possibility

I was at the 2003 NC game and LSU had a distinct crowd advantage. LSU was the louder group.
Bama had a 9:1 advantage on Nov 5! Scoreboard

Do they have the internet in Alabama yet? Should be a huge advantage for our fans!

Where do people get this idea that Alabama is a wealthy school/state?

Has there been a study of the average income of fan bases I'm not aware of?
