Ware + Blue + Ford + Hilliard > Richardson + Lacy

On their own Richardson is better, but the fact we have a set of 4 backs that we can rotate in/out make our rushing attack greater than Bamas.....period

except richardson is not their only running back

Except their backups aren't comparable to ours ;)

Lacy is solid, but their biggest advantage is, their gameplan does not change with the backs. Ours does.

I'd call it about even. TR is a man amongst boys.

that's debatable. ware, hilliard, and blue are all between the tackles, run it right at you backs. ford is our only change of pace back, and that's an advantage, not a disadvantage.

It also can not go with out saying ford has been running harder the last few games. Welcoming contact and finishing runs much better.

I have been noticing that also - great for him and us.

It could just be me, but Ware hasn't looked really good in a while. He's not breaking the first tackle and finishing runs like he was early in the season. Hopefully 5 weeks will give him time to get back to what he was doing early on. If he looks like he did early on this year, I think that LSU has the better backfield by quite a bit. If he doesn't, I think that the backfields are pretty much a wash.

I dunno - I may be looking thru purple/gold glasses, but Hilliard pretty much cancels out TR.
I cannot believe the combination of raw power, good hands, speed, and vision he has shown.
I know - he hasn't gotten the attention TR has, but damn, he is strong.

I like Hilliard quite a bit as well, but I wouldn't put him on the same level as Richardson...

Lacy was not 100 % for the first game. This could be a difference maker for them. Can keep more fresh legs in the game. Just my two cents.

Yeah - I know I went overboard on that - but DAMN, he looks good and he does somewhat balance the skills that TR brings - especially if he is on fresh legs.
but true - not equal to TR, but does help to balance out TRs advantage moreso than without him.

Hilliard + Bama defense > TR + LSU Defense

The blow he put on the tackler for his last touchdown speaks of him being very talented.
He double catches the ball turns lowers his shoulder and destroys the tackle and scores. Quite a bit of talent. In slow motion you can see him thinking through everything to score, more than just a reaction. The guy is a very unique talent for being so young.

I dont really think the question is of the totality of quality in the lineups. 2 players of R & L's quality are not going to "tire out" in the 4th quarter. The difference will be in the play calling and the OL's execution. Each of the backs above given the right call with perfect blocking will execute. The problem is the high quality of each defender will not usually allow for every offensive lineman to achieve their goal on the same play. Therefore, the coaches that have the correct gameplan and are able to quickly modify their plans to overcome the opponent will be more successful than the later. In reality, these will probably cancel out and the winner will be the one that gets the fumble or has a successful trick play.

Well if it goes down the way you describe I see Les and the Tigers more flexible, simply because Les is not controlling, and I think the Tigers adjust faster.
