Is it possible that the LSU/Bama rivalry will become the new or equal to the Ohio St/Mich rivalry?

i think if les miles and saban both stay at their respective schools for the next 10 years, maybe...
but i dont think that is likely to happen. it certainly will be one of the most if not the biggest game of the regular season for the near future however.

IMO, it doesn't have a chance to ever become that because Bama and auburn already have a huge rivalry. It's not often that schools have more than one huge rivalry. Only one I can think of is Oklahoma. They have the Red River Shootout and Bedlam.

Not as long as Herbstreit and Howard are on Gameday. ESPN loves to tout that game, even when it sucks. I lived in Ohio for 7 years, and they do hate each other, but not as much as some SEC teams (Gumps/Barn) do. LSU/Gumps has always been a fun SEC rivalry, but only since Saban and Miles took them to the top of college football has it had a lot of relevance nationally. Also, the LSU/Gumps game is on CBS most years, while OSU/Mich is always on ABC, which will help it get promoted by ESPN.

doubtful. ohio st / mich was a rivalry built over a long period of time. the landscape of college football now will be changing drastically decade to decade to be anything like that. look at lsu 15 years ago. look at bama 5 years ago. look at fla state, miami, etc. too much parity

Alabama's rivals are Auburn and Tennessee. We are a distant third.

It is currently more relevant, but two things will hold it back.
1. OSU/Michigan has more history and always will
2. LSU isn't even Bama's top rival

Oh wow. Tennessee? LSU and Alabama seem to be at the top of their game for the foreseeable future. Tennessee is an afterthought. Alabama/LSU is the best rivalry in college sports right now.

Will Michigan ever win a MNC? Will Ohio State ever win it without help from the refs? Who gives a frick about Big 10 football? Take the lame irrelevant shite somewhere else.
