He wants to play Stanford and have a chance at winning his first ever BCS bowl game. He wants no part of LSU.

Looking that way, I guess we can say we won 15 after beating who ever we meet in the NC

“I think on any given day on any site in the country, that we can play with anybody in the country,” Gundy said. “I don't doubt that for one second. “If we win this game and we play well, and somebody thinks that it's enough to put us in position to play for (the national title), nobody will be more fired up than I will about it and excited for our players.”

do you think he will change his tune if they beat OU?
Posted on 11/30/11 at 7:39 am to TheFightinTigers
he said right now....sunday he will vote himself ahead
Posted on 11/30/11 at 7:41 am to TheFightinTigers
He would rather win the Fiesta than a beat down by the Tigers

Maybe not -
It is a creative way to call out his team and have them really focus on the OU, Keeping them from focusing on other issues such as BCSNC

Frankly I see this as a Les Miles' tactic

Well he is calling his team out to play without directly calling them to Pussy to play LSU, yet he is challenging them but by focusing on OU - it should really piss off his players and put them into a slow constant boil till Saturday. pretty clever way to light a fire under them and keep them focused on the task at hand

He is clearly saying that his team's body of work is not as impressive as Alabama's. That will change when they beat OU. He didn't say, "no matter what, Alabama deserves to be ahead of us at the end of the season." So you folks calling him scared are actually just stupid, and the joke is on you.
