What about all the "LSU's defense won't be that good after losing Nevis, Sheppard, and Peterson!!!" talk? Bunch of outsiders who didn't have a clue how talented and deep we were.

Observation-
I just find it humorous how coaches and the media talk about LSU depth and how “talented” LSU is and how LSU just brings in waves of players without any talent drop-off. Yet there were not many LSU players in the 1st -2nd –or 3rd team preseason all-SEC.

It is along the same lines of the comment when teams are losing they are young------ but when they win with young players they have depth.

TM belonged on a 1st or 2nd team list, and Baker belonged on a 2nd team list. Having any reasonable knowledge of our speed on the D line would have lead to more spots in the preseason poll.Pretty shitty guesses on the coaches' part.

i agree about TM though the SEC is loaded with great DBs.

as far as our DL its hard to put unknown players over proven players.

really in the end, none of it matters, but we had a lot of unknown guys coming into this season.

I don't know how this list work, but if there is a postseason teams like this (1st 2nd 3rd)

These should be on there somewhere, not sure which ones but take you're pick.

Blackwell
Faulk
Wiliford
Hurst
Mathieu
Claiborne
Reid
Brockers
Sam M
Mingo
Randle
Brooks?
Copeland
Clement

That's like 15 or so. Maybe Logan and obj (doubt it)

We were ranked #4 preseason. If we had so many unknowns, why?
