look... you've never been to a college so I'll explain it. Final grades aren't posted till mid December (after the SECCG). So if he was eligible at the start of the season he will be eligible until his final grades make him ineligible. I find it hard to believe a guy who has been in school this long can manage to get below a 2.0 however in one semester unless he was damn near ineligible to start the season.

Well if he is around 2.3-.5 and gets a 0.0 or something similar for a semester, that would get him pretty close. But I find it hard to believe that someone this close to a degree would piss it away. Stranger things have happened though.

pretty sure you don't even need a 2.0. from what i understand, you just have to pass a certain number of hours. i could be wrong, but from what i remember one of my friends who ran track years ago, that was the case. athletes don't have to follow the same academic standards the rest of the student body does in terms of academic probation and whatnot.
