Concrete argument for Ok St. over Bama

Pending a victory over Oklahoma.
I want to bring this to the Allies before I go to the SEC rant.
1. Let OK ST have their shot. They lost in DOUBLE overtime, Bama lost in single. Why is everyone focused on those losses though? If you say because Ok State lost to Iowa State and Bama lost to LSU, well then... 1a. Why does Bama get another shot? 1b. Do the MANY more impressive victories against BETTER teams by OK St. mean nothing?
2. Oklahoma State has beaten 6 teams over .500. Alabama has beaten 3. The SEC is benefiting from their past dominance. Why is Alabama more deserving than Ok State?
I enjoy SEC media bias due to the recent dominance of our conference, but this is the only reason why Bama is even in the discussion.
Don't tell me if LSU had lost I would have a completely different stance. LSU's resume with a loss to Bama would be far better than Bama's with a loss to LSU.
If LSU had lost, they would have a legitimate claim to a rematch due to their OOC wins over Oregon and WVU. LSU's and Bama's SEC wins, while dominant, were not against better teams than Oklahoma State beat.
The only way an LSU-Bama rematch should have occurred is if Bama would have won in Tuscaloosa
Its amazing how ESPN is avoiding asking the question who is the strongest conference overall when every other year they are. The fact that the two top teams in the SEC are great is blinding ESPN. The SEC, this year, provided weaker challenges than Oklahoma State faced in the Big 12. The SEC is the second best conference this year.
I will respond to any argument. The biggest seems to be that Bama's loss wasn't as bad as Oklahoma State's loss. I think the difference in number of quality wins between OkSt. and Bama is more significant than the difference between the losses.

you've made all the good points. OSU's resume is clearly better than Bama's.
hopefully the voters wake up and realize that

I hope there is a backlash against ESPN. That was obvious homer-ism from the BCS "expert."

oh, wait, you did forget one:
OSU will be the outright champion of the strongest BCS conference
Alabama didn't even win their division

It's all hot air to them. They are in in their opinion. Everything else sounds like Charlie Brown's teacher.
In all fairness, I think they're right. I think they're in.

I think their relationship with Saban has so much to do with it.

You are right about the SEC being down. I'd say throw the PAC 12 in there also. I say USC, Stanford and Oregon beat the shite out of all other SEC teams besides Bama and LSU.

I agree with this!

Say it with a straight face that Oklahoma State can play with LSU or Bama. It's impossible to do. Okie State is gonna get pounded worse than Oregon did against LSU and everybody knows it. If you don't want to face Bama again I can respect that but the best 2 teams in the country are Bama and LSU and nobody else comes close. Anybody honest with themselves will admit it. I don't care about victories over Missou or Texas.

nope
bama in discussion because the other teams LOST to UNRANKED teams, which allowed bama to move up again.
they should have taken care of buisness.
period

This one was actually new to me...hadn't really thought of it. That's a point that can and likely will gain traction.
And for the record, as an LSU fan I'm not AFRAID of playing BAMA again. I am, however, on record for years now saying that I think that unless a team wins their conference they ought not be able to win the NC. I'd be saying the EXACT same thing if LSU had lost and was currently on the outside looking in. BAMA should not benefit from losing AT HOME to LSU.
And because, well...frick BAMA. It makes me smile thinking of them claiming another national championship this year without even playing in the game, and it will make next year's game in November in Death Valley even sweeter.

2 Bama lost at home; OSU lost on the road

It's also irrelevant, at least as far as I'm concerned. However you slice it, it's an assumption that OSU would lose to either LSU or BAMA. I tend to agree, but I acknowledge that it's just an assumption.
You know what's not an assumption? The winner of the LSU-BAMA game. We saw that show, and LSU already won it.
I agree the second best team is BAMA...but the next best team which hasn't ALREADY LOST to LSU ought to get a shot before BAMA gets round two...at least I think.

Yea, because Ok St losing on the road to Iowa St is better than Alabama's loss at home

What, honestly, has Alabama done to merit such awe, other than to play us to overtime at home- and lose?
Seriously- they beat down a bunch of SEC teams. So? Tiger fans, take a second and review the season we had, and determine which teams gave us the best games. Alabama, which is a very good team, played us at their house in a media frenzy, and we still won a tight game. Ok, they're the best WE played, on that night in that environment.
I'd say Oregon and WVU gave us better fights than anyone else in the SEC, with the possible exception of Miss St (and they had absolutely no offense). Bama did not play these teams. They played a decent Penn St and won, they played us in their "game of the century" and lost, and beat a bunch of scrubs. Yes, Auburn, Tennessee, Florida, Ole Miss are scrubs. Arkansas is decent enough to beat the scrubs too, but not nearly deserving of being a top 3 team. Probably around 15th or something.
Is Bama top 10? yep. Top 5- probably. I wouldn't say they are without a doubt, clearly better than everyone else.

OK state is gonna lose to OU and this argument will go out the window
