I believe he was ticked at CLM for having JJ throw late in the game.
I also think JJ needs the reps passing in a real game, hence the long ball to RRandle. JJ has not been very effective throwing the ball on the bubble screen. The next two passes were the same exact bubble screen to Sheperd.
Had Coach Miles really wanted to run up the score, he could have stayed with the ground game.
Also, on mop up duty, JL didn't pass (he doesn't need the work). However, we ran Ford up the middle on several consecutive downs, something which is not his strength.
I believe Miles used the last 8 minutes of the games to get some of our better players reps in areas which are not their personal strengths.
Petrino should count his blessings.
