... and we'll see you in 44 days! Roll Tide Roll!"

This was a Gump friend of mine's FB status.

Now really, how illogical is that?

IMO, we already "took care of business" on November 5 in Tuscaloosa.

Now that it may come down to it, the idiocy of LSU being penalized for beating the Gumps on the road while they get to relax and receive a free pass into the NCG as a reward for losing--the whole idea is utterly ridiculous.

I think if Okie Lite beats Oklahoma, the voters take them because they have the same record as the Gumps with a Big 12 Championship.

I think that would be the right decision.

Gumps, you are indeed the second best team in the country. But it is totally bullshite that you'd get to the NCG with a free pass for losing while we would have to "take care of business" one more time.

We've already taken care of business.

i feel this way also. the voters are begging for a reason to put okie lite above bama. just win gundy. just win.

If I'm T-Boone, I'm paying every media outlet big bucks to start promoting the line:

"OSU only lost because they endured an enormous tragedy earlier that day and couldn't focus on playing football. Besides, the refs screwed them over on that 'missed' FG."

If enough people start saying it, OSU sneaks in.

Dude, this line was being repeated all day on sports talk radio. This is the Medias "out" for not picking Bama!

They get to heal and LSU has the potential to have players injured in the conference championship game. Does anyone think LSU would get the same treatment if they had lost?

I think Saban would retire if we beat him twice.
They would have to put him in a straight jacket after the game.

If LSU loses the SECCG, it will most likely ensure that Bama goes to the sugar bowl. Just a reality. If LSU lost to ARK today, that would have been one thing, but if they lose to Georgia, it hurts Bama, because then it will really be a battle of 1 loss teams, and NO ONE will send Bama over LSU in that case.

bama not getting in is almost as good as beating them on 11/5.

think about the mind-frick:

1. thought they would take LSU to woodshed
2. lost - season over
3. back in it ... "clearly everyone else sees that, we're bama with 5,403**** championships"
4. OSU gets the nod while bama sits home and lsu collects another sec championship

they go to cap 1 or sugar against some shitty team and get ripped again like last time against utah --- can't focus.

oh the humanity!

LSU has to win the conference to get that ring. Take care of business and they will get another. Get the first one and at the very least, they will be the champion of the best conference in football.

If Bama gets correctly left out they also get to play in new orleans right before we roll in behind them and collect our crystal. Hilarious.

If we were to lose, we'd likely squeeze Bama out.

F##k it, I want AJ in The Dome. I want the chance to beat CNS twice in one year. I want the Gumps in OUR house -- regardless of who does and doesn't have to play in a conference championship.

Somewhat of the right idea. Quite a few flaws. If LSU lost jnthe SECCG, I think bama would be out of the NC game. No way they would send two teams from the same conference and neither won their conference.

Bring on the gumps. They ran out of gas in the 4th q and ot. They don't have an answer to our defensive rotation. Our running game and defensive dominance will prevail again. Line them up!
