I am making my first trip to Death Valley! I am so excited about coming down there. I have wanted to for several years. We made the decision to come this year when we drove by the stadium on the way to the Sugar Bowl! I have been to almost every venue in the SEC and cant wait to be at a game in Tiger Stadium! Just curious where is the best place to eat? And where is the best place to park?

You guys have had a great year! I am looking forward to a good game and hope neither team suffers any serious injuries. Win or lose good luck with the rest of your season! I root for you guys when it helps us and I am full supporter of all SEC schools after the regular season is over.

Park in Port Allen...short walk to Stadium and they don't charge to watch your car.

Eat at Silver Moon, they don't look open, but it's REALLLY GOOD!

Try food board for food recs.
Park in ag center lot, old front 9 lot, or hayfield. Google LSU football parking map.

Parking depends on which direction you need to head towards to get back to where you are staying. Usually just North of campus is best, pay $20.

Chimes is solid food and good for game day or after the game.

George's is not too far from campus and good burgers, poboys, sandwiches

Chelsea's is right next to George's and it is good casual food and funk

Tsunami- pretty good sushi...Downtown, great views

Juban's or Ruth Chris for fancier stuff

Mike Anderson's has good seafood. (or used to at least)

Have fun

The best advise for a visitor is to Google the LSU football parking as one poster commented.

Most on-campus parking is by season permit only.... other sections are day permits at $40. There are some free on-campus areas on the outer edges.... arrive VERY early if this is what you want.

There are some shady neighborhoods on the North side of campus... I don't recommend parking there personnally.

It's a 1:30 kickoff - so as for a place to eat ... what meal... before game of after?

Close to campus for before game walking distance I'd recommend Louie's -- mixed breakfast/grill type menue... it's on State Street a block off campus. Or Sorano's -- tex mex type menu... or the Chimes --- all 3 in the same general area.

There are some food vendors on campus just outside the stadium with "carnival" type food if you want to stay on campus... and there will be a free concert starting about 9:30 AM, I believe --- ask for the Tiger Cage and that's where you'll find this area called Tiger 1 Village.

After the game - TJ Ribs, Mike Andersons, or for more casual -- George's are good choices relatively near campus. If you just want food and not a sit down restaurant with a bar... Raisin Cane's chicken strips are excellent and there are 2 locations near campus.

Or -- this is LSU --- find a big Tigers tailgate... don't be an a-hole and introduce yourself... you'll probably be fed for FREE. Don't be shy and if the group you approach doesn't welcome you.... try the next one you see... MOST (not all) Tigers are pretty welcoming of visitor fans that come and chat.

Now if you are yelling Pig Suuuueeee and Tigers Suck and all this crap... you are on your own... use your head.... If you are being verbally assulted in a malicious manner.... probably not the tailgate party to try to approach... again, use you head.

I live North of campus so I usually park at Kirby Smith which is free. You better get there early for this game though.

If you're about watching other team's traditions, make sure you're hanging out right outside the stadium on the north side, just between the football stadium and basketball arena at approximately 11:50.

Welcome and I hope you have a great time.

Honestly, best places to eat depends on what you want and how nice.

Parking? There's tons everywhere. What time will you be getting out there? That is key.

Hope you have a great experience!

I come from lake Charles which is west of baton rouge. This is where I always park. The north side of campus is off of Nicholson drive. There is also a lot that will be on your left that is free parking that asks for donations for their non profit organization. You have to get there early to get in this lot though. The money goes to a good cause. Parking here will funnel you back to I-10.

Eat at buffalo wild wings, chimes, walk ons or brewbachers. I would try the last 3 first bc they are local places off of campus
And then fall back on buffalo wild wings or raising canes.

For me...a game this early I would he a good breakfast and get to the gates of the stadium early to see the band come through. I think the band comes through 2 hours before game time so I would be there by 1030 am. Then eat something in the game. Concessions will have hot dogs etc. then eat at one of the nicer places mentioned above after the game.

When you see a group of LSU fans, walk up to one of them and slap him in the face while yelling "frick you corn dog"

They'll just laugh and give you money and stuff. It's a tradition.
