Anyone know who he is and what amount of playing time he's had in mop-up duty? Wilson has been hit alot this year and Friday he may get a hit that puts him out of the game.

don't know who the back up is but from what i've seen tyler can take a hit and still deliver the ball. think he is a pretty tough cookie. best thing going for us is i don't think their Offensive line can hold back our blitz. look for them to complete check off and dump passes for short gains. they will move the football but i think they will end up loosing the turnover game and that how we will win.

Hopefully we can cover their RBs a little better out of the backfield than we covered TR in the bama game. That was the only play that gashed us with any consistency.

Defintely. They were killing Miss St. with the wheel route and that has been a vulnerability for us.

Brandon Mitchell. Was an LSU basketball commit. When Brady got fired, he dropped, and now he's a QB at Arkansas. Not the most polished passer, but very mobile.

Brandon Mitchell from Amite, LA.

Didn't have an LSU football offer, but he did have a basketball offer. Very athletic, inexperienced sophomore, 6'4" 230lb. 22/32 for the year with 2 TD and 1 INT.

Our backup is Brandon Mitchell. He is 6' 4" and weighs 220 pounds. He has played mop up duty in several games this year including the entire 4th quarter of the MSST game this past Saturday.

Lets hope that there are no injuries on either team this week.

Here is a link to his stats.

I've seen Tyler Wilson take a beating in games this year and get up angry. Dude's got some fire.

His name is Brandon Mitchell. He is more of a duel threat quarterback than Tyler. Tyler has the ability to escape the pocket and get a few yards (better by far than Mallet), but Brandon has the ability to take it to the house. That statement is general because I'm not sure he could do that against the speed of the LSU secondary. Brandon doesn't throw consistently as Tyler, but he can let it fly. All in all he is very talented and has a lot of speed, but not at this point the leader that Tyler has become.
