Did Miles' handling of Lee help or hurt your opinion of him (Miles)

Hard to argue with the results, but in terms of Miles being a class act and man of honor, I would say that his handling of Lee tarnished that aspect of his reputation.

I only care about how Miles handles the team as a whole. I'm not concerned about how he handles each individual situation as I'm not at practice, meetings, film room nor do I have access to grades etc.
I'll let the parents worry about their sons.

Boo fricking hoo. I love Jarrett Lee, but I love LSU waaaaaaay more. And right now we're 11-0 and #1 in the country.

Life isn't fair. Les is the coach and it's job to play the best players he has available. In my opinion he has handled the situation perfectly.

Lee put himself in this situation by missing class and being in jeopardy of being ruled ineligible at semester.
How pi$$ed would fans be if we played Lee all season only not to have him for the National Championship. Miles has handled this PERFECTLY,
1. did not throw Lee under the bus to the press
2. prepared Jefferson
3. sent Lee the message, get your freakin grades up

while i do love me some lee, i can see why miles wants to go with jefferson he brings more to the table. if he can just be a serviceable passer his running ability makes him a greater weapon than lee

I truly feel bad for Lee, but if him not playing "tarnishes your opinion of Les Miles as a man of honor," you suck.

I agree with you. Nobody here knows what goes on at practice. And Lee hurt his chances last night when he had that big ole smirk on his face. That will be seen on film, and it said a lot about his role as a TEAM player.

Let it go, man. Just let it go. It'll eat you up inside.

The announcers said it perfectly last night. LSU is way more dynamic with JJ in. Lee won't make an NFL team and probably wants a ring more than starting. He was huge for us early in the season, and I'm sure he knows that if/when we win the NC it was because if him.

Did you watch the first eight games of the season? The offense looked perfectly fine with Lee as the starter.

Miles has gotten the most out of two average quaterbacks. In the end, JJ offers a little more versatility, and JL has gotten enough playing time to be a more than adequate #2 in case JJ goes down.

I believe in Les Miles. That is all.

Since players come and go, I am not changing my opinion on a coach based on 1 player.

no change

Oh god,here we go.
Well, most coaches in the country would've ran J Lee out of town for his 2008 performance. Les stuck with him and continued(s) to give him significant playing time. J Lee is a 5th year senior, neither Les nor any other coach in the country will baby sit him. And this is not a knock on J Lee. Playing for a NC season and playing for the undefeated season, a coach should only be concerned with putting his team in the best position to win, and this is exactly what Miles is doing. When the game plan will call for J Lee's number, Les will make the call.
If you think that JJ is getting more PT against "scrubs" due to favoritism, then you're wrong. JJ missed significant PT due to the suspension, and was never comfortable throwing when he was back. Well, he threw a perfect 8 for 8 last game, so I think Les is doing it right. Lee does not need those reps.
Here's to the perfect season, no matter who's under center.

Let it play out. Trust Les, the players' coach.
