It would really depend on how bad of a loss it was. If it was a really tight game, I think that we still go to the SECCG. Voters wouldn't move Arkansas above a team that beat them by 24 and it would still come out to the head to head with Bama. In addition, we're really strong in the computers and would still have wins over 2 top 5 teams to go along with the rest of our body of work.

None of this really matters anyway. Barring LSU playing their absolute worst and Arkansas playing flawlessly, there is no way that LSU drops that game. I know that the games have been pretty close between the schools over the past decade, but none of those games featured a team of the caliber of this season's LSU. Arkansas may be a good team this season, but they are not on the level of LSU and Bama. I think we win by 17+ and wouldn't be surprised if the game really got out of hand.

I'm sorry. But even if we lose to Arkansas we still go to sec champ? Why Wouldnt the first tie breaker be head to head?

Look, all we need is for Arkansas to finish 3rd of the 3 teams. The human polls would likely be REALLY close; teams separated by a few votes. All teams would have a case and LSU/Bama probably have the best cases (better SOS and MOV). But lets assume for arguments sake LSU finishes a 3rd behind Bama and Arkansas in the HUMAN POLLS.

Well Arkansas' computer ranking is relative crap. They beat a 5-5 A&M team OOC compared to say Oregon and WVU for LSU. That means Arky will have by far the worst computer score. In fact, other teams (like Oregon) may wedge their way in between LSU/Bama and Arkansas making things worse for the Hogs.

Arkansas computer ranking should be more than enough to anchor them out the discussion, leaving LSU and Bama (in nor particular order). LSU goes by virtue of their win Tuscaloosa.
