Totally agree. Lets not forget that the last two national titles have been based on our defense, our running game, and good game managers. I think that the two quarterback system gets bashed too often. When you are as deep as LSU are, you have to find a way to get all of your playmakers in the game. Both quarterbacks have their ups and downs, let's just be thankful that we have one ready to come in and play when their number is called, and also a coach who know how to maximize both of them.

In a number of ways, I think this is disputable with respect to 2007. The 2007 D, while talented and highly ranked, allowed a lot of points, particularly in the second half of the season. Flynn made his share of mistakes but also made a ton of plays well outside the role of game manager. I will agree on the running game, though. In any event, very interesting, well reasoned post on looking at Lee and Jefferson in more recent time frame.

JJ's red zone effeciency in terms of scoring TD's sucks....something like 40%...JLee is at 80%
Games will get closer and the chance of losing becomes greater with JJ at the helm because of this very critical stat...
