Wing will probably get it just because he plays for LSU but Allen is without any doubt a better punter. The stats speak for themselves

I can agree with this, on a serious note.

However...

BRAD WING IS OVERFLOWING WITH SWAG SOMETIMES WHEN YOU ARE CONSTANTLY FILLED TO DA TOP WITH SWAG ITS GOING TO OVERFLOW A LITTLE LIKE BRAD WING

Are teams averaging more than a 2ft return average against him? Did he have a 70+ yard punt in the game of the century?

We don't have to punt as much as Tech does. It's called offense.

Once again, Wing has as many touchbacks as Allen even though Allen has more punts.

The whole he punts more argument is thrown out the window with Allen only having 4 touchbacks

OH RIGHT CAUSE THE FIELD IS DIFFERENT IN THE WAC!!!!

I knew someone would come up with this dumbass argument. Is the 20 yard line further from the endzone in the WAC than in the dominant SEC?

The way Wing performed in the biggest regular season game of the year should definitely count in this award. I know Allen hasn't had the chance, but oh well.

No it really shouldnt. Punting doesnt change with the competition. Is there more pressure? Yeah but its not that huge of a difference maker.

Skill positions that argument is legitimate. But for punting and kicking, its the same.

No you are clinging to one stat, because that's what impresses you. Merely having 4 punts out of 32 inside the 20 become touchbacks is impressive, but that in and of itself really doesn't tell us anything. He avgs about 2.5 yds more than wing. Don't know about the return yards, which could be because of better coverage team or because of hang time. If Wing wins, you could make an argument for the La Tech guy, but it would hardly be a cosmic injustice.
