Seems all the prognosticators think Urban Meyer is the hottest ticket to replace JoPa. If I had to bet on it, I'd tend to think he's gonna' wait out the Ohio State thing and take his chances on getting back home.

Can you come up with some different wording in light of the issues arising out of PSU?

Unfortunate choice of words on that subject line.

They were talking about Urban before the season started. I hope it's true...he'd be a great fit to rebuild this place.

THe cultures would totally fricking clash. NOt that Saban is going anyway, but damn. Can you imagine going from Joe Pa up there to Saban? That's about as good a match as Rich Rod was for Michigan.

He's a big name, but I see him as more of a gimic offensive guy. Going from Joe Pa to that might be a shock to the system (although you guys may be numb to it ATM).

I think it might be the kind of challenge that would interest him??

If Florida almost killed him what makes you think Urban would survive 6 months trying to clean up the carnage in Unhappy Valley?

Agreed...but I think we need it. I really think if we want to be competitive going forward we need somebody who can shock the system.

It's hard to really get a thought process on what coaches are going to be available going forward. Urban at least has a recent national championship track record. As consistent as we've been over our history we haven't won a NC since the 86 season and haven't run the table since 94 so I know we really need someone who knows what it takes in today's game to get us to where we need to go.
