Can you point out the issues in those?

That's going to be because you do not understand football.

I dont disagree.... buy my Dad always told me, " everybody loves a winner!", I think that is appropriate in this context.... Hey Ethan, dont feel too bad for CLM, he is taking in almost $4 Million dollars a year, ($4,000,000!) to put up with us mouthy arse fans that know it all.....

I know he does some things really well as an all around coach but I just can not tolerate stupidity of that magnitude. I can get over other team's players outplaying ours, but when our 3 million dollar coach can't make decisions that every middle school coach can, I want him gone. No amount of success will ever change that for me.

I have tried to rationalize what he was thinking those two games, and every time I do, I just end up getting mad and wanting him gone more.

So let me get this straight... A 9-0 start including an OT win over Bama, something a lot of LSU fans said Miles would never do - and he's done it two years in a row now - a number 1 ranking, a championship caliber team, an incredibly deep roster that may even be better next year, top recruiting classes year after year, and you want him fired because of a mistake made during a game two years ago?

Are you sure you're an LSU fan?

Your whole post was embarrassingly wrong. Epically. But, enjoy your freedom to do so.

Miles is Irish.

Of course. That is the only possible answer.

At that level, coaches couldn't care less about fan attitudes and comments. If they did, they would not be able to function effectively.

The more relevant point would be the fanbase's emotional stability- if the average rantard learnt to appreciate the good seasons and good games within the season , they will have more happiness and fun than depression and sadness.

Because , sure as hell the coaches or AD really don't care about your emotional health

You know what is lost in this type of argument, in this type of nonsense? people forget that there are 120 schools in the FBS. LSU, year-in and year-out, has so many GOOD atheltes, and so many playmakers each year, put themelves in the IMPROBABLE position of actually having a shot at winning that game.

-Nobody thought we would score with 2 mins left to pull within 7 as fast as we did, but we did. We got over that hurdle, and so it was time to RE-SET the minds of the players, who were celebrating that, and getting over that initial 'victory' and think about the next play, the on-sides kick.

-Nobody thought we had anything more than a 20% chance of recovering the on-sides kick. But we did. Again, the 20 to 21 year-olds are celebrating another 'small victory' and are jubilant, and an offensive line along with the rest of the players, are in unfamiliar territory and are trying , along with the coaches, to scheme the next game plan.

-Events made it necessary to throw a hail mary, it was the final call of the game, and the ball was woefully short of the goal line. NOBODY knew we would catch a hail mary, much less short of the goal line, and have a shot at victory. MUCH LESS the field goal unit, being prepared to come on the field. We have NEVER been in that position before. But it happened, we had that improbable outcome, over ALL THE OTHER improbable outcomes, and out of the 5 to 6 improbable outcomes and situations LSU had to deal with in order try to stake a claim at victory that game, we failed at one of them, because we simply had no time left.

For the sake of the fans, We would have been better served, in both the Ole Miss and Tennesee games, to not try at all, like MOST teams do, and just lose normally. Les would probably be in better shape today. But that wasnt the case, his players fought hard in those games, and kept clawing to try to get victory, and THAT is what is so maddening to some fans. That we put ourselves in IMPROBABLE situations to win, and people FORGET that we had no chance, created one for ourselves, and just did alot better than most teams would have done.

Has enough time passed to forget UAB?

If I had, I certainly wouldn't after Tennessee last year.

Or the Bluegrass Miracle?

I will never see him as anything other than a clown of a ch.

So you can understand when I fail to appreciate the deification of the Bama coach, for extremely similar reasons?

I know he does some things really well as an all around coach but I just can not tolerate stupidity of that magnitude.

Yeah, I know, winning games faster than anybody who has EVER held the job - but he's not perfect, that's for absolute certain.

You may need to pick a different sport, a different team or something. Maybe some professional counseling.

There are 1000 things going on every game. It is impossible to account for all of them. To suggest otherwise is ludicrous. The fact that the staff appears much less susceptible to those lapses recently strongly suggests that the guy at the top (the one you really don't like, respect, want "gone", etc.) has corrected the fundamental problems.

Sucks to be you, man.

And thats another thing: Les has been in more difficult situations than most coaches will ever have to face. It has refined how he views the game, and prepared him for many more turn-of-events now then most coaches. Going into a battle against what is percieved to be a much stronger opponent, at their house, with a the QB position mediocre at best....only Les could be able to handle THAT situation and come out with victory.

@Ace Midnight - don't bother, I don't think he will reply-
1. He is a troll
OR
2. He is a moron

Either case it won't matter, can't even muster sadness for such cases and can only laugh at them

Your view is sooooo this season.

You forget what it was like two years ago around this time. Miles was supposed to be as good as gone.

Lighten up Alice - CLM has been in this game long enough to understand the fan base. He knows he is well respected overall.
