So who are the favorites in the classes this year? Last year Acadiana was underseeded due to the early suspensions or something? Seems that Jesuit is a decent bet (no matter how much it hurts me to say so) to make it to the Dome in 5A.

Would love to see Karr back in 4A.

I guess it's Curtis and Evangel in 3A? Maybe UHigh has a decent shot?

Thoughts?

Jays would love a Brother Martin/Jesuit rematch in round 2!

I guess St. Pauls and Dutchtown could make runs in 5A also. Seems the power has shifted down from North LA the last few years.

Curtis and Evangel are 2A. 3A team to beat is St Charles and 4A is Neville. I think 5A is open to 6-8 teams.

I'm not expecting Dutchtown to win it all but having Landon Collins on the sideline gives Dutchtown that X-factor they're gonna need.

I'm sure Byrd will be ousted early yet again when they go up against some real competition from South La. NWLA football is just so weak it's hard to get a gauge on how good the Jackets really are. that WM game was so long ago. hopefully they can get to the Dome though.

Whats the story with Dutchtown, I know obviously they are among the best in the state. I know about Landon Collins, I am curious about the rest of the team. Strengths? weaknesses if any? What kind of offense do they run? Just wondering how my Ponchatoula Green Wave will do against them. Obviously I am not expecting a win, but if ponchy doesn't turn the ball over, they will hang around and make it entertaining.

I went to the 5A title last year and that Acadiana team was in a constant state of "pissed off" I have never seen a high school team hit like that. YOu hear ppl say it at times but they truely appeared to be playing with absolute no regard to their own personal safety.

Possible matchup with Acadiana in the 3rd round. And with a win Friday the 2nd round game will be in Shreveport-Bossier Area since if Airline wins the game will be in Bossier. Otherwise Byrd gets a home game in round 2.

thatll be a semifinal matchup but will be a heck of a game if it does happen. i have a feeling the boys in ptown are itching for another shot at em after getting beat in the playoffs the last two years.
