What the frick are you thinking?

There's only a 1,200 x 3,000ft or so of woods behind our neighborhood and they are trails used by teenagers to go back to the "beach" on the river.

Our neighborhood has over 2,000 residents and you're back there even past dark with your stupid arse comoflauge and rifles, baiting deer so you can shoot at them in our neighborhood.

talk about shitting where you eat.

Lazy fricks. I haven't thought of the best way to handle this, but it won't end well. I promise.

Are they trespassing or have legit permission to hunt. And do the teenagers have permission to trespass to get to beach?

I don't see a problem if permission to hunt was granted by landowner.

.. and there's the problem. My backyard is right next to this swath of woods. Even if you were as deep into the woods as possible you'd still be less than 1,000ft from the nearest home.

So there is 82 acres behind your house and if the landowner gives someone permission to hunt you don't want them to. Because the teenagers want to trespass to the beach.

Like I said if permission to hunt was granted by the landowner no problem. If hunters are trespassing big problem.

If they have permission from the landowner it is legal. Regardless if they do or don't it appears that you have a problem with people hunting because it is close to your home, not with the people being on the land. Sounds like relocation to a place like the North East would be a good fit. Win/win for everyone...

You're not gonna accomplish much on this board with that attitude. Unless you're trolling, then you'll accomplish exactly what you want.

I've been bow hunting in MS, about 2 miles away from MSU campus with neighborhoods on both sides of the property. The owner of the land gave me and my friend to BOW hunt only, and that's what we did. I saw a decent 8 point worth shooting but was out of range. Heard chain saws, kids playing, ect....

I got on google maps to get the exact dimensions, then I got back on google maps to measure the furthest distance that once could possibly be from the nearest house.

Good catch though. It really matters. And yes, all people who don't want people shooting high powered rifles at moving targets within 1000ft of my daughter's bedroom window surely must be a San Fransisco, Nancy Pelosi lovin liberal pussy.

High school kids have gone back there since the 70's. It's just not very smart.

We're in fricking Baton Rouge. Not a rural area.

Wait, it's still bow season here amirite? I know it is in MS where I hunt. There shouldn't be people back there with rifles right now anyway.

High school kids need to stop trespassing unless one of them wants to be part of a hunting accident one day.

They're not shooting at your daughter's window, but if you feel it's too close to your house, it is either time to file a complaint or pick your stuff up and move. May want to do a little research before you select your new house as well.

If you trespass to mess with them, you may want to read what some people on here are willing to do to trespassers.

If you have 80 acres of continuous woods around your house, it doesn't matter where you are, someone is going to want to hunt it.

I just called our HOA president. He knows the family that owns the land and said they'd never let anyone hunt although they don't mind people going back there for recreation. He also received complaints about people shooting rifles back there. He said that they've seen people go back there for target practice but there's some hill built up for it up against the little swamp area and it's safe.

Sounds like these hunters are going to ruin it.
