"THE MORNING AFTER" -Karley Ferguson

For everyone who enjoyed "The Game", the first poem I wrote about the LSU v. Bama showdown on Saturday (posted on Facebook and also on TigerDroppings), please feel free to read and share this follow-up. I'd really like to get my name out there with my work, so if you share please cite me as the author.
THE MORNING AFTER
Miles is still the mad hatter,
The Badger still gives not a care,
The fans are still quite hungover,
Although that's nothing too rare.
Our fingernails bitten to skin now,
We'll resume our Sunday as planned,
Our boys are headed home smiling,
To the comfort of TigerLand.
We left Tuscaloosa in ruins,
Kirkpatrick and Maze feel the pain,
Reid stomped a mark in Alabama,
An irreversible LSU stain.
Alleman handled the pressure,
He even managed that smile,
And Mathieu snapped a neck or two,
But that penalty was quite worth while.
We came and we saw and we conquered,
All of the trash talk is done,
We played on your grass and we STILL kicked your arse,
HEY 'BAMA, WE'RE STILL NUMBER ONE!!!
