i see what you did, but without doing the math, it would still seem that would be long periods between playing certain teams, unless you split up the home and home matchups.

If you're going with pods, western teams almost have to be 15 and 16. OU and OSU with Ark and Mizzou; aTm,LSU,Miss and MSU; AU, Bama, UT and Vandy; Uga, UF, USC and UK.

If you have a 16 team conference with 4 team divisions you can have one fixed out of division opponent and three within division opponents on your schedule every year.

You then rotate four teams for two year home/aways among the remaining 11 teams in the conference. That works out to playing everyone at least two times in every 6 year period.

That is highly similar to what we presently do in a 12 team conference (rotating 2 games among 5 opposite division opponents instead of 4 games among 11 out of division opponents)

The big question to be answered is if the NCAA would sign off on letting 16 team conferences have a two round playoff to determine the conference championship. If they will not then the whole idea sort of crumbles.
