110% agree.

Sherman has done for us kind of what Zook did at UF before Meyer got there; gotten the talent to a respectable level, but unable to get us over the top.

The next coach will be in much better shape than Sherman was when he came here, Fran had gutted our program and the locker room was toxic.

As far as WHO the next coach will be....2 of the last 4 coaching changes were us money whipping a coach at a major program to come here. Jackie at Pitt (we made him the highest paid coach in history at the time), and Fran at Bama (i know....i know....but it was still something no one thought could happen at the time, sanctions be damned). The other 2 were guys who "got" A&M; RC Slocum, who was a Jackie assistant, and Sherman, who was an assistant here under Slocum.

It is time in the cycle for another big time "outsider". Jackie worked out, Fran did not.

This is looking like 2002 all over again. McKinney is Sherman's Groff.

Your AD needs to look at shelling out around $4-5 million to hire a good SEC caliber coaching staff. You will be looking at around $3 mil for a HC,about 500K each for a OC and DC, and 500K total for the other assistants. Will Muschamp is getting paid just under $3 mil/yr with no head coaching experience prior to taking on the UF job.

You guys should take a look at Tubberville. That would be interesting. I would rather not see it happen, but I think it would make a lot of sense for both parties.
